 When Cattle Doesn't Mean a Cow

 Translation is not an exact science; in fact, often times a translator must transliterate (take a best guess) when a word has no exact match in the new language. In 1611, King James authorized a team of scholars to create a New English Bible. The team gave us the King James Bible; a version that many today still think the best translation of the Holy Scriptures. Did these scholars translate word for word throughout the Bible or did they, like all translators do, run into difficult words or passages due to lack of exactly matching words or due to cultural differences that made passages hard to understand. The answer is; yes, the KJV translators had to choose English words that they believed best described the spirit of the original texts. In several cases; an ability to read the original language reveals some major surprises - including the idea that man has always lived with dinosaurs and even domesticated them! Could this really be true? Read on to find out.
In the book of Job; specifically at Job 40:15 through the end of the chapter, a creature identified as behemoth is mentioned by God: "Behold now behemoth which I made with thee....” The description of the creature could only be that of a brachiosaurus or other such sauropod - for no other animal of that size has a tail that would remind one of a cedar tree. This is the only time - in English - that the word behemoth is translated directly from the Hebrew. If a person looks in a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance {Strong's} that word is assigned the number 930. But God just told Job that He created behemoth on the same day as He created man - day six. One would think God must be mistaken - a review of Genesis day six account only says God created cattle, creeping thing and beast of the earth on day six. Did God make a mistake?

Are Savants And Prodigies A Glimpse At Early Human Abilities?

 We've all heard that we only use 10% of our brains. While that exact figure may not be right, there are plenty of reasons to believe that our brains are capable of incredible abilities that only occasionally peek through. And whether we're evolutionists or creationists we have to answer the question of why these abilities are there but not normally used.
For creationists the obvious answer is that Adam and Eve were mental giants and that savants and prodigies are echoes of a time when we were able to access these currently unused abilities of our brains. Read the following true stories that illustrate the other "90%" and then ask yourself - Apes, Aliens or Adam... which makes more sense?
“The twins say, ‘Give us a date – any time in the last or next forty thousand years.’ You give them a date, and, almost instantly, they tell you what day of the week it would be. They will also tell you the date of Easter during the same period of 80,000 years. One may observe, though this is not usually mentioned in the reports, that their eyes move and fix in a peculiar way as they do this – as if they were unrolling, or scrutinizing, an inner landscape, a mental calendar.”(Sacks 1998)
Another time Dr. Oliver Sacks noticed this amazing exchange between them.
“They were seated in a corner together, with a mysterious, secret smile on their faces. They seemed to be locked in a singular, purely numerical, converse. John would say a number – a six-figure number. Michael would catch the number, nod, smile and seem to savor it. Then he, in turn, would say another six-figure number, and now it was John who received, and appreciated it richly. They looked, at first, like two connoisseurs wine-testing, sharing tastes, rare appreciations.”(Sacks 1998)
Guessing that the numbers possibly were primes Dr. Sacks brought a book on large primes in the next day and without saying anything joined them.
“They were taken aback at first, but when I made no interruption, they resumed their ‘game’ of six-figure primes. After a few minutes I ventured a number, an eight-figure prime. They both turned towards me, then, suddenly became still, with a look of intense concentration and perhaps wonder on their faces. There was a long pause and then suddenly, simultaneously, they both broke into smiles.
They drew apart slightly, making room for me, a new number playmate, a third in their world. Then John, who always took the lead, thought for a very long time and brought out a nine-figure number, and after a similar time his twin, Michael, responded with a similar one. And then I, in my turn, after a surreptitious look in my book, added my own rather dishonest contribution, a ten-figure prime.

Final Chapter – Dinosaur Fossil Hoax Embarrasses Creationists

Friends, sad to say, this fossil is not genuine. All the photos of a dinosaur eating a man are fake. Someday we hope someone finds a real fossil like this but this was just an April Fool’s Hoax created several years ago. What could have been the missing link for the creationist worldview was a prank. This first link includes the photos of how some people posing as college students and a professor created this faked fossil, buried it in the sands of New Mexico, took pictures of it and then published it as real on the Internet.
The next link is the original news flash that announced their pretend “discovery.”
We knew this was a fake fossil when we placed it on our website. Some have asked, why place a hoax on a site who’s main objective is to explore the truth of our origins? Just this, it’s a wake up call to all who believe in the creation account. On April 1, 1999 this joke was put on the Internet to criticize creationists for their weak over used arguments and lacking any solid physical proof. He’s right; we need to be more objective and thorough if we wish to be credible. Many Creationists were duped into thinking it was real. Was it wishful thinking or poor investigation on their part? Even the nameless Aussie creationist who introduced me to these photos was disappointed when I sent him the link exposing this prank. All too often we believe something too quickly or refuse to change our position when new evidence is presented to the contrary.

Dinosaur Swallows Human?

Dear Friends,
Thank you for your patience and without further delay Bibleland Studios presents The Photos as promised of what appears to be a fossil of a Dinosaur Swallowing a Human. Do these photos provide the necessary evidence that dinosaurs and humans coexisted in our recent ancient past? From our latest poll many of you believe humans and dinosaurs did coexist. But just because we believe it does that make it so? Bibleland Studios is interested in objective; naked, pure unadulterated truth no matter where it leads. Do you believe as I do that the desire to know where we came from beats in the breast of everyman, woman and child? How I acquired these photos
One evening in early December I picked up the latest copy of a certain Australian Creation Science newsletter and began thumbing through the pages. Suddenly without warning there they were! The Photos. “Could what I’m looking at be true?!” I phoned the publisher in Australia and asked him straight out, “Is this true? Are these photos real?” He assured me they were. Were Adam and Eve Giants?

At first a silly and far out question. However after doing a great deal of research including the reading of 6 books on the origins of Giants I have to repeat the question…were they? There is much evidence of giants throughout history but the problem I’m finding is that most all historians, scholars, authors and theologians over the last 2400 years believe that giants were all the product of evil angels mating with human women which is what they say the Bible means by the Hebrew word Nephilim (fellers, giants), used in Genesis 6. This has turned the idea of giants into the material for fairy tales. Another, slightly more credible theory says that a closer lunar orbit with a smaller moon, had a greater pull thus enlarging animals and man. Still a third believes that there have always been a few giants and a few dwarves on the outer edge of the normal height of any society. Genesis states that there were even societies of giants (see Numbers 13) that lived before and after the flood. So where did they come from?

Giants

Options for Origins

In 1969 Erik Von Daniken took the world by storm in his book Chariots of the Gods. His ideas were meant to explain the preponderance of evidence accumulating that suggests we came from a civilization of highly advanced people. The book’s manifesto is a combination of evolution and alien intervention but at least he attempts to explain, rather than ignoring, the sophistication of the remnants from the “primitive” civilizations that came before us.
There are just too many questions that archeologists and anthropologists do not have good answers for. For example, when did ape men begin to bury their dead and why? Why have we found a 2000-year-old lens when they weren’t created until the 1500’s? How about their achievements of moving huge stone megaliths, still standing today, such as the stones in the temple of Baalbek that weigh between 800 - 1000 tons and were lifted to a height of 15-20 feet. These ooparts (out of place artifacts) demand better explanations than we’ve had because they indicate that people were accomplishing things that shouldn’t have been possible at the stage of development they were supposedly at.
If you are an evolutionist and want to be fair with all the questions and all the current evidence of our ancient past then you have three options to deal with the data:
1.) Ignore that which does not fit or at least minimize it and explain it away.
2.) Believe that our civilization is much older than the 5,000-30,000 years we normally place on our recent existence.
3.) Believe that a higher intelligence from another galaxy "helped" our evolutionary process by leaving behind technology.
Van Daniken remained true to evolution but dealt with these troubling ooparts by bringing in aliens with advanced technology. The answer to Van Daniken's challenges regarding our current explanation of world history were also addressed in another book Secrets of the Lost Races. In it author Rene Noorbergen explores a 4th option. It entails creation by design as outlined in the book of Genesis. It would mean that any remnants of ancient technology were created by us and that our ancestors were a race of highly intelligent people.
It’s humbling to allow ourselves to consider the possibility that they were smarter than us but they were. Were they physically different from us? Ouch that smarts too --Yes, taller stronger, more virile. Could this combination of characteristics of our ancient family begin to explain some of the evidence of great achievement that they left behind? I believe so.
With eighty-six million books sold and a hit movie from the 1970's, Von Daniken has influenced a generation by giving us viable options. Rene Noorbergen offered us another option. Who is right? Read for yourself and find out.

Bibleland Studios Goes to the Zoo

Sunday June 13th Bibleland Studios pulled up its stakes and went to the zoo. It’s goal was to once and for all see if there were any reason we should not release its next product, the "monkey? no monkey"T-shirt. A team of “monkeyologists” assisted John and Christen to make for certain that the message on the T-shirt was accurate.
Translated: Did we really come from a monkey?
Translated: No, we did not come from a monkey.
The very first thing we did was head straight for the monkey cages. Unfortunately everyone was asleep but the baboons. The Baboons were more interested in our bananas than to cooperate in our experiments. That did not stop us. Repeated attempts to communicate with the monkeys were failures. We then tried to catalogue all the observed similarities between man and monkey. Conclusion: All likeness was superficial and even if a monkey could shave his face, wear a suit and build a bridge he could not build one better the next time.
Friends, did we really observe and conclude all this in one afternoon? No. However we did get some fun pictures and we will be releasing the T-shirt soon. We invite you to our gallery to have a look.
