 The Strength of Giants

 Throughout the world, the further back you go into the fragments of history, you curiously find two legends repeated. First, that there was a golden age of enlightenment and technology and second, that the mammoth structures left behind were built by giants. When outsiders first arrived on Easter Island, their oral legends said that the tall, basalt statues there were erected by giants. The same is said bout Lebanon’s massive 800-ton megaliths stones in the temple of Baalbek. Travel down to Peru and will see 100, 200 and 300-ton stones that fit perfectly together - again attributed to a gigantic race of people almost totally forgotten.
What explanation could there be for all these legends? I’ll tell you in a minute but first, even as recently as the Spanish Conquistadors, you find first-hand accounts of natives 8 and 9 ft tall. So let’s assume that there were tribes of humans 8, 9 and 10+ feet tall. Let’s assume that these giants are not like 1940’s Robert Wadlow with a pituitary disorder that makes them very tall but weak; making even walking difficult. How strong would a true genetic giant be? Are there modern Goliaths?
Bibleland has a new book that focuses on one particular giant and his amazing strength, Angus MacAskill. Born to normal sized parents in 1825 Angus grew to be 7’9” and weighted 425 lbs. Andre The Giant would have looked like his younger, smaller brother! MacAskill is not the tallest man on record but he is the strongest. It was not uncommon to see Angus stroll down the Cape Breton streets with a barrel of liquid under each massive arm. With each barrel weighing 300 lbs. you can see Angus commanded immediate respect. He once carried an 8” pole 60 feet long for 400 yards!

 Now back to giant builders in the past. Seems to me that if you have impossible sized stones being moved about, accomplishing what we have to use hydraulic cranes to do, that there must be a plausible explanation. But what kind of explanation can you come up with when 4,000 years ago they did not even have the technology of the wheel! Some have speculated that Aliens or intelligence from out side this world aided in creating these massive structures. Others say that, “They are there and so let’s not worry how they did it. It’s done and they did it and that good enough.”
Would an explanation of genetic giants building these palaces be too simple? That we were created as giant, beautiful humans and through the process of de-evolution we have “dumbed down” to where we are today? That our direct ancestors built these magnificent edifices and not some “E.T.”? I invite you to consider the possibilities and please feel free to continue this discussion in our forum.
